Teaching Philosophy

I value getting to know each of my students personally. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to teaching:  I tailor my approach to each student's unique set of strengths and learning goals, leading to a more satisfying and effective lesson experience.

Playing the cello involves both body and mind. As my student, you will receive fundamental technical instruction for playing the cello, as well as techniques that enhance visualization, creativity, and imagination in the practice room and on stage.

Studies have shown that music lessons are linked to higher cognitive function, particularly in the areas of language, memory, problem solving, motor skills, and grading across all subjects. Music lessons can improve and strengthen life skills like teamwork, empathy, and work ethic.
